Pressure. Pressure is everywhere for us as middle schoolers. It is in our classes, academic wise, it is around our friends, socially. Point is, it is everywhere especially on Valentine’s Day.
One example of this pressure is when all your friends decide to ask someone to be their valentine. You probably feel like you want to ask someone, even if you do not like them. Another example would be if all your friends get asked and you do not. If I were in that position I would feel left out. Friends would probably be getting flowers, a teddy bear, cards, or candy and you would be there with nothing in your arms, excluded. If your in a relationship, your expected to make February 14 a big deal. If your single, your not really off the hook. There are cards and gifts to send to your family and best friends, there is no way around it. If you do not buy anything for someone you either hurt someone's feelings or maybe even look bad.
