It's a school day, so you're getting ready and preparing yourself to go to school. You get dressed, you eat your bowl of cereal for breakfast. You brush your teeth, you look at yourself in the mirror to make sure you look beautiful for the day. You get your backpack, and you're about to walk out the door. But then you see your dad, half asleep, but still has the nerve to ask you, “Do you have an undershirt underneath that crop top?!”.And why are you wearing ripped jeans, change please, that's unacceptable!. I'll wait all day if I have too!!!”. All you're thinking in your head is, “Why does he care so much, it's just a crop top, every girl wears crop tops!!!”. My life is so unfair!!!”. Why is my dad so overprotective of me?!!!!!.” This is how almost every girl feels about their dad, about them being so overprotective. But, dad ́s will be even more overprotective of their daughters once the boyfriend comes around and starts dating her. Dont tell dad, or he'll lock me up forever!!!. Your dad might not even let you date a guy even after high school. This quote is a quote that almost every dad tells their daughters or something similar to this,̈ Young lady, I'm not going to let you date a guy until you graduate college!!¨. You're probably thinking, ̈ He's so crazy, everyone dates like in high school, even middle schoolers date!!!̈”. But, dad will finally come around once they see that maybe their daughter dating a guy is not bad. If he makes her truly happy, he 'll be fine. Maybe, he won't even let you go to Back to school dances, or other dances that could be memories you would cherish forever. Not even let you go to prom or homecoming, when it's your last year of high school. Now, the question you've been waiting for is,”Why is my dad so overprotective of me?”. The answer…..is because daddy can't stand the fact that his little girl is growing up to be a woman. No Cap!!! Dad’s value and love their daughters so much that they can stand the day when their daughters go to prom, or for God's sake, when they get married and move out. They remember their little girl playing with her dolls, then like a blink of an eye their little girl is a beautiful grown woman. So, whenever your dad is being overprotective or annoying to you, remember it's because he loves you with all of his heart. So go with the flow and love your dad.
